Our Projects

1. College Healthcare Scholarships - A total of four $1,000 scholarships are awarded annually to a graduating senior from the following areas high schools:

• Garaway
  
• Hiland
• Loudonville
  
• West Holmes
  

2. The Miley Fund – The Miley Fund was created by the family of Jessie Miley, a long time nurse at Pomerene Hospital. Monies from this fund are used in the following manner:

• Nurse Education Scholarships- These scholarships are awarded to individuals pursuing a career in nursing who plan to begin their nursing career at Pomerene Hospital.
• Nurse Training and Development- This fund is used for training and development opportunities for current Pomerene Hospital nurses.

3. Emergency Medication Fund – This fund was established to provide medication at discharge for patients who are unable to afford prescribed medications. Patients are referred to the Social Services Department to determine eligibility for this program.

4. Equipment - The Pomerene Foundation donates funds to Pomerene Hospital to help cover the cost of vital new equipment or facilities improvements that were not included in the hospital’s annual capital budget.
